It is Open Source, GPL licensed. The source is available on the website.
Easy to use:
(1) Run the app.
(2) The app's icon appears in the dock.
(3) Drag the USB drive you want cleaned onto the icon.
(4) The USB drive will be ejected with the hidden OS X "dot" files removed.
