An rsync based backup solution for *NIX based system(s), with a flexible scripting subsystem which provides a range of advanced features, customization and flexibility. LBackup is aimed at system administrators.

A couple of examples of the bundled scripts which are specific to Mac OS X follow. These are just a taste of the flexibility the afforded by the scripting sub system within LBackup.

(1) Provide functionality are the ability to unmount a backup volume(s) when no backup is taking place (great for rotating USB memory sticks, external firewire drives and various other removable media).

(2) Push encrypted backup .sparsebundle (virtual file system) to one or more remote servers for distributed backup.
