Mailreminder.net is the product of some of my own frustations with trying to remember stuff during the day. I have tried numerous todo list apps and websites to keep up with requests that end on my inbox. I have tried numerous "read it later" services for news and articles that I read during my breaks.
The two, first world, problems I encounter again and again are:
1. Todo list apps and websites are great for projects with tasks. They are often cumbersome to create new tasks with due dates in them though. For managing requests and conversations that I have via email I wanted something simpler, with a lower barrier to entry.
2. Read-it-later services are great if you remember to follow up on the items you have saved. Otherwise they become just another inbox cluttered with out-of-date news and articles that you don't even remembered why you wanted to read. I wanted something simpler, where I don't have to open 1Password to find my password for read-it-later service X so that my rss reader may save stuff to it.
Mailreminder.net is my solution to these problems. When dealing with email, it is always handy and never in your way. No matter where I find interesting news and articles, there's a way for me ship them of with an e-mail to [email protected] and no matter what task comes in via email I can now remind myself about it when it's time and archive it now.
