LibreELEC

LibreELEC is ‘Just enough OS’ for Kodi, a Linux distribution built to run Kodi on current and popular mediacentre hardware. We are an evolution of the popular OpenELEC project. LibreELEC software will be familiar to OpenELEC users, but the project follows its own path and has intentional differences: LibreELEC is governed by a project board elected from active team members to set project goals, priorities, and take executive decisions.

VortexBox

VortexBox is a free, open source (GPL v3), quick-install ISO that turns your unused computer into an easy-to-use music server/jukebox. Once VortexBox has been loaded on an unused PC, it will automatically rip CDs to FLAC and MP3 files, ID3 tag the files , and download the cover art. Vortexbox will then serve the files to network media players such as Logitech Squeezebox, Sonos, or Linn. The music files can also be streamed to a Windows or Mac OSX system.

GeeXboX is not an application, it’s a full-featured OS, that one can boot as a LiveCD, from a USB key, an SD/MMC card or install on its regular HDD. The GeeXboX distribution is lightweight and designed for one single goal: embed all major multimedia applications as to turn your computer into an HTPC. GeeXboX runs on x86, PowerPC and ARM devices.

CoreELEC

CoreELEC is a ‘Just enough OS’ Linux distribution for running Kodi® on popular Amlogic hardware. CoreELEC is a fork of the LibreELEC project with a stronger focus on Amlogic hardware and the community CoreELEC consists of a barebones Operating System purpose built for Kodi media center.

Fedberry

FedBerry allows people to easily install and use Fedora on the RPi2/3. FedBerry was created when Fedora did not previously support the Raspberry Pi 2/3 Model B (RPi2/3). The major differences between Fedora arm releases as compared to Fedberry releases are: • The use of our own custom kernels (using the Raspberry Pi foundation's bcm2709 kernel port). • The use of Raspberry Pi foundation's own bootloader (ie. we don't use uboot).
