OsiriX is a great DICOM viewer for Mac OS X, originally developed by Pixmeo.
Unfortunately, their open source version only allows you to build a 32-bit application, which doesn't fully utilize your computer's resources. Also, some of their sources are provided as "black box" library files.
Osiri-LXIV implements the 64-bit version of the application, 100% open source.
