Express Scribe

Express Scribe is a transcription software and audio player specifically designed for typists and transcription work. Featuring foot pedal control, variable speed, speech to text engine integration and support for a wide variety of audio formats including wav, mp3, wma and more. Audio recordings can be loaded automatically from CD, email, LAN, FTP, local hard drive and Express Delegate. Traditional hand held dictation recorders can also be docked and the audio transfered.

TranscriberAG

TranscriberAG is designed for assisting the manual annotation of speech signals. It provides a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) for segmenting long duration speech recordings, transcribing them, labeling speech turns, topic changes and acoustic conditions. TranscriberAG is geared toward the needs of the speech research community, but its features might be found useful for other applications.

Listen N Write

Listen N Write can be used to play and transcribe ordinary audio and video recordings (WAV, MP3, OGG, WMA, AVI, MPG, WMV, OGV, FLV, VOB, TS, etc). Listen N Write has special features simplifying the transcription work as you can control via keys (while using its integrated word processor) and insert time markers (bookmarks). Moreover, the audio stream is automatically rewound a few seconds when pressing the Pause key.

VoiceWalker

VoiceWalker is a transcriber's tool, designed to help you transcribe audio or video recordings. VoiceWalker lets you play back the sound in a controlled way, with the benefit of being able to systematically step (or "walk") through a recording, repeating short segments for a specified number of repetitions, then moving on to the next segment. The segments overlap, so that the transcriber does not become disoriented.
