Rate Your Music is a community-built music and film database where you can rate, review, catalog and discover new music and films as well as participate in contributing to the database itself.
- Research music and film, cross-referenced by artist, label, location, and genre.
- Charts: browse the charts to find the best (or worst) releases by any criteria, such as genre, location, release type, and more.
If you create a RYM account (which is free), you can also do the following:
- Rate, review, catalog and tag your music and film collection.
- Create your own user profile, including the ability to upload pictures, build a friends list and socialize via private messages and your shoutbox.
- Receive automatic recommendations for new music and films based on your personal ratings.
- Be notified of upcoming releases by your favorite artists.
- Create your own lists about music, films or anything else that comes to mind.
- Participate in the RYM community on the RYM forums.
- Maintain your concert attendance.
- Contribute to an always-growing public database by adding new information and improving existing data.
