Wifi File Manager (WFM) allows you to share files from your device using any network connection, so that other devices that are reachable within the network can manage these files through user friendly interface accessed from any web browser. An access to your files can be protected by double-layer security (password and manual access).
You can upload, download, copy, move and delete batch of files. Operations like copy, move, delete are run as a background task, so that you can walk in directories and do other operations, while they are kept running in the background. Moreover you can close your browser being sure the processes are going on. You will always see tasks running in the background in a notification panel.
To navigate and select directories you can use a mouse or a touchpad on PC devices. Besides this you are provided with a file tree on the left of the UI, so you can always walk in your directories even using browsers on mobile devices.
Files uploaded in the directory where you initiated an upload process.
All available operations are placed on the top of the interface. Also right click provides an alternative access to them.
Usually devices like routers slow down the speed of file transfers. So for better speed you can always create hotspot on your device and use direct connection that increases the speed by several times.
WFM allows you to set a password to protect the user interface from unauthorized access. If it is not enough, you are free to enable manual access and approve or deny an access request of any user.
All settings are applied dynamically, except port number. You need to restart service to apply port changes.
The application is still under development to enhance UI and configuration flexibility.
