If you want to create installers for software that you created on the Windows platform it's most likely that you tried to use the Wix-Toolset.
So what is the Wix-Toolset? Basically the Wix-Toolset can create installers for the windows platform from files what are written in XML and this is very useful for example when it comes to version control. But when the XML files gets bigger and bigger it can be a challenge to make sense of it all.

WixPie doesn't use project files but you can select one or more files and WixPie will base the information you see on that.
In most software you will be overwhelmed by all the possibilities. If we compare it with a laptop keyboard and a touchscreen on a smartphone you will see less options at once on the smartphone because you don't need to see all the options always. With WixPie you will get the same result because you can select the package for what you want to do at that time.
If you want to create a basic MSI installer for one or more file(s) you will not see options to create for example custom actions but if you want to add it later than you can and then you will only see the options that you need for that.
