あなたは次のような悩みを抱えていませんか？ ● 色々な英会話教材をやってみたが、どれも長続きしない ● 英会話学習を何からどう始めたらよいのかわからない ● 簡単な英語なのに、ネイティブの発音が聞き取れない ● 頭の中で英作文をしてから英語を話すので時間がかかる ● 小・中学生の子供を将来英語が話せるようにしたいが、どの教材が良いかわからない ● 受験英語は得意だが、英会話は苦手。例えば、「これは私の番号です」と言って相手にメモを手渡す時、( ) is my number. の ( ) に This を入れてしまう (正しい英語はDAY16の8) まじめに勉強しているのに、英語が話せない、聞きとれないのは、努力や才能が不足しているからではありません。あなたが使ってきた英語教材の「学習方法が不適切」だからです。 上記６つのどれかに当てはまった方は、次の(1)~(4)を読んでください。(1)~(4)を実践すれば、あなたの英語は根本から変わります。 (1) 基本例文を「音」で記憶する 英語上達の土台は、「中学レベルの基本例文を完全に暗記」することによって出来上がります。但し、今までのように、「文字」を目で見て覚えるというやり方ではダメです。「脳」は、ことばを「音」で覚えるようにできています。まずは、音で英語を覚えてから文字で確認するのが正しい順番です。 『Jump-Start!』の「聞き流し暗記」では、英文を細かく分割した「和訳」と「英語」の「音」が交互に流れ、最後に英語の全文が流れます。この音声を何度も聞くことで、ネイティブの子供と同じように、「耳」から自然に英語が覚えられます。 「聞き流し」の英語教材は他にもたくさんありますが、全て『Jump-Start!』とは異なります。 他の聞き流し教材は、英語と和訳の「全文」が「英語から和訳」の順番で流れます。人間の脳は「一度に4秒以上の情報を記憶することが困難」なため、4秒以上かかる「全文」の暗記には大量の反復が必要となります。ですから、多くの学習者が挫折するのです。 他方、『Jump-Start!』は、4秒以上の「全文」の音声を、「3秒以内の音のかたまり」に分割して流します。その結果、記憶が容易になり、反復の回数が大幅に減ります。また、「和訳が先に流れる」のも重要なポイントです。あらかじめ意味がわかった状態で英語を聞くので、「英語」がよく記憶に残るのです。 多くの英語教材が採用している「英語から和訳」の順番の音声は、「英語の意味がなんとなくわかれば良い」という場合の学習方法です。「英語を話せるようにしたい」という場合は、必ず「和訳から英語」の順にしなければなりません。 (2) 瞬時英訳で瞬発力を身につける 「聞き流し」により、例文が「音」で記憶に残るようになってきたら、「和訳の後で英語を話す」という「英作文トレーニング」をします。 「英作文トレーニング」の教材は他にもたくさんありますが、全て『Jump-Start!』とは異なります。他の「英作文トレーニング」の教材は、「日本文全体」を「英文全体」に置き換えます。ですから、頭の中で「高度な翻訳作業(=文法を駆使した英語の並べ替え作業)」を行わなければならず、その結果、中学レベルの簡単な英文であっても、高校レベル以上の文法力と語い力が必要になります。 これに対して、『Jump-Start!』は、「英語の語順に従って、前から細かく英語に置き換えていく」ので、中学レベルの文法力しかなくても行えます。また、小さく英語に置き換えていく過程で、英語の語順、文型、修飾関係が自然に身につきます。つまり、「音」で「文法」が感覚的に身につくのです。これは、ネイティブの子供が英語の文法を耳から覚えていくのと全く同じプロセスです。 (3) ネイティブの発音のルールを知る 日本人は、英語の聞き取りがとても苦手です。それは、学校や塾での発音指導の方法に原因があります。 日本の英語教育では、例えば、want you to を「ウォント」「ユー」「トゥー」と1語ずつ正確に発音するよう指導します。しかし、ネイティブは、そのように発音をしません。彼らは、want you to を「ウォンチュル」と1語のように発音します。ですから、「ウォント」「ユー」「トゥー」と丁寧な発音練習した学習者には、want you to が聞き取れないのです。発音は「英単語と英単語の結びつき」で身につけなければなりません。 『Jump-Start!』では、ネイティブの発音に見られる「音の変化」を5つのタイプに分類してトレーニングします。この「5つの発音ルール」がわかると、今まで全く聞き取れなかったネイティブの「早口の英語」がよく聞き取れるようになります。是非、それをあなたに体験して頂きたいと思います。 (4) 文法を学んで応用できるようにする 文法を学ぶ理由は、応用力を身につけるためです。しかし、従来の英語学習は、大雑把に言うと、次のどちらかです。 (A) 文法的な理屈抜きに「とにかく暗記してしまいなさい! 」という「英会話学校式」の教え方 (B) 文法と単語・熟語を学んで例文で確認する、という「学校英語」「受験教育」の教え方 しかし、その結果、日本人は、満足に英語をしゃべることも、聞き取ることもできません。 『Jump-Start!』では、まず、基本例文を「音」で覚えた後で、その例文に含まれる「文法(と関連表現)」を学ぶという順番にしています。この順番で学習指導をすると、英語が話せて、聞き取れて、文法も身につく、という学習者が多く生まれるからです。 まず、基本となる例文を「音」で覚える。そして、その例文の理屈や関連表現を知りたいと思った時点で、はじめて文法説明を読む。この「興味が湧いたら調べる」という方法は、「やる気の出る勉強法」「身につく勉強法」であり、言語の自然な習得方法です。 是非、あなたも、『Jump-Start!』で、英語上達のきっかけをつかんでください。必ず、「あぁ、英語というのは、こういう勉強を続けていけば、話せるようになるんだ! 」ということがわかり、将来に自信が持てるようになります。 ＜学習でのアプリの機能＞ ・シャッフル 各学習項目内で選択したコンテンツ内のセンテンスをランダムに表示します。 ・繰り返し 各学習項目で選択したコンテンツの学習を繰り返し行えます。 ・苦手 学習画面に表示されている「苦手」ボタンにチェックを入れると、それぞれどのコンテンツに含まれているかに関係なく、コンテンツ選択画面の「苦手」の項目より、まとめて学習が行えます。 ・タイムトライアルの録音機能 タイムトライアルでは、学習開始と同時にユーザーの皆様が声に出して行った瞬時英訳を録音し、ネイティブスピーカーの音声と聞き比べられます。 ＊タイムトライアルの録音機能は、ご利用されている端末のマイク機能によって、録音品質が異なります。 ・再生速度 1倍速から、2倍速まで音声の再生速度を0.1秒速単位で調整できます。 ・自動再生 各コンテンツ間、センテンス間の移動を自動で行う機能です。スマートフォンの操作をせずに学習が行えます。 ・音声解説 「文法・表現説明」のコンテンツでは、「音声解説」機能をONにすると、解説の音声が読み上げられ、OFFにすると音声は再生されません。 ・YouTubeコンテンツ YouTubeで紹介されている、Jump-Start!の解説動画にアプリからアクセスが出来ます。 この他の詳しい機能については、サポートページの「アプリの使い方」をご確認ください。
